Forgot to post a update dev log here on itch, but we're looking to get the next set of releases out on May 15th with how progress is coming along in the play test builds for development. So it won't be too much longer for a new update! ^^
So I tried to play the game on windows and it crashes at some points I think it's due to using the skip button. But I seem to be unable to avoid the crashing.
Sorry to hear that this is taking place! >.< That's the first I've heard of it crashing for Windows in a long, long time. (Since before we made the swap to Ren'py as the game engine.)
I'll try recreating the issue on my computer by skipping, using the skip button. (Where exactly are the crashes happening around which scenes and which episodes? Is it always at the same exact spot or feels random?)
Along with that, if you can provide your computer specs and which version of Windows os you're using. This information might provide us with better details.
Added note: I downloaded v0.19 for Windows/Linux from itch.io and tried recreating the issue on my computer, but I couldn't recreate your crashing issue personally.
I'd say knowing your computer specs and exact Windows os version will be the most help. ^^" (I'm assuming it's due to older specs or maybe conflicting software running in the background. Could be a number of things, but I would say not enough ram and maybe it's peaking out while skipping through and trying to load all those assets in a hurry or software running besides Renpy that is causing issues.)
What we can possibly do for v0.19.5 when it comes to the public is set the text skip speed down, so it's slower by default, maybe with the option of decreasing or increasing it for personal taste in config settings.
yeah I just realized it was the game reaching chapter 4. I played the versions prior in 14.5 and didn't think it was suppose to end that quick lol. I do love the new story though it's more interesting.
XD Gotcha! Just to double check, the game is ending at the end of episode 3 and not going into episode 4? Or did you mean when reaching the end of episode 4 it ends. (Former being the intended for v0.19)
I'm happy to hear you like the direction of the new story! ^^ It's been quite a trip once we moved the game engine from Tyranobuilder to Renpy, but we're trying to keep even older moments returning to offer surprises and play off of everything in the grand scheme of things. Overall it's pretty exciting or it should be as the common route events end after episode 5 and routes begin. :P
It feels like a new universe with the changes but they the story is smoother than version 14.5. 14.5 felt like the story was a bit rushed and didn't make sense. The story this time feels right with smoother transitions. An example of 14.5 was the princess vs princess story plot thrown in at the end of the original chapter and the sex scene via drugs. Although the school is much more creepier now like messed up (no pun intended).
Not to spoil things too much, but there are some moments in the game where the pov swaps to other cast members, including females. But I will say this at least, it won't be seen as playing the game as a female protag. (We do have a ton of requests to add a option to play through the game as a female protag, which isn't completely ruled out yet. We do want to tackle it correctly though and look at all angles.)

Should be able to download v0.19 for free here on itch. Then take the "saves" folder from your v0.18 game folder and copy/paste it to replace the "saves" folder in the v0.19 game folder. Then everything should be copied over for your saves to continue where you left off into new content. ^^

Hi! Without too much spoiling, there is still plans for some sissy/femdom content being added. This might vary from person to person for how far that'll cover, but I can assure you there's 2 routes that focus on both of these to certain degrees! ^^ We'll have route episodes coming along here before Summer, we're just awkwardly dealing with a new programmer situation on the team currently, but they're proving themselves so far this month on getting more used to the existing code and how we handle things for the project. ^^

Miki's Dream is seen as a side story, it expands on Miki of course as a character, learning more about them. Timeline wise, it takes place before the guys show up at the academy.
It makes me super happy to hear that from supporters or fans in general! <3 I know personally around v0.14.5 is when we swapped game engines and tried to also take that as a perfect timing to improve the quality overall. So I'm very, very happy to hear that it feels like we've made that kind of impact!
(Of course our current situation is a bit awkward with the programming situation taking a bit longer than I had hoped it would heading into this year after our original programmer stepped down. While that situation is a one day at a time sort of approach to getting on track. I still think it's possible that we can make up lost time as this year unfolds and provide very nice content along the way. The game is on the edge of getting into route content, which for development is going to speed things along. ^^ )
The build I received for v0.19.5 late last night sadly wasn't in ideal shape visually. Sprites positions being half way on screen, off screen or just awkwardly placed. For a update that's mainly offering to display what the game looks like in full HD (1920x1080) quality, I didn't feel comfortable releasing what the game looked like in it's current state for supporters.
Sadly that means I also wish to delay v0.19 for the public until v0.19.5 is in a more presentable state that's expected from our supporters/fans. While v0.19 for the public is ready for release, I wouldn't feel right about releasing it and not having something offered to our supporters in exchange.
I'm discussing things with our programmer today and tomorrow, trying to figure out if we can get everything sorted out by this weekend to release these. I'm extremely sorry for the unexpected delay, it came as a surprise to myself last night as well.
When the next update releases tonight (v0.19), you'll just have to download it from here on itch.io or alternatively you can download from Patreon, F95zone, etc. If you have saved data from v0.18 or before, you just have to copy your "saves" folder over to the new game release folder to replace that "saves" folder with yours. ^^ (Then in-game when you go to load your data, it'll be there.)
[Warning: If saved data from v0.18 is saved right at the very end of episode 3, the data might not work depending on how close your saved data is to the end of episode screen.]

Actually yes! ^^ This is something we're offering in one of the near upcoming releases. It'll mainly only appear in the portrait area of the text box ui for the protag being seen, but there will be some rare moments through the game that place you into the pov of other characters.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention! ^^ What exactly happens? Is the game able to start up at first okay, but then after playing through and finishing episode 3 it won't go back to the title screen? Or something else, we'll look into this to fix for v0.19 coming very soon.
Oh okay! Gotcha, when trying to launch the app it just isn't loading? Have you tried uninstalling and installing it again to see if that fixes it? (Sadly our mobile support has had quite a bit of reports from users having problems in the past. What we're probably going to end up doing here with our next releases, is add a disclaimer that lightly warns users that our Android builds are lower priority compared to pc/mac builds during major development. It's more of a bonus and hopefully one that works on most devices or doesn't run into many issues for some. ^^" )
when I launch the app, it works as it should. However the buttons in the main menu don't work. Uninstalling and installing it again doesn't work either.
Very odd.. <.< It could be a device side issue possibly. (Hardest part about mobile support/specs) I don't know if you have another phone device or tablet you can try downloading it on to test if it works. We'll try to look into things on our side with the engine, but sadly with mobile. There's a lot more variables going on with it works for one person without any issue, but someone else's device can't launch it, buttons not working, etc.
Regardless, thank you for bringing this to our attention. I can't promise we'll be able to fix this, as there's a number of factors at play and our primary development focus for now is more on pc/mac versions working as intended. (We'll still try putting time aside though if there's anything we can do on our end, sorry for the troubles! >.< )
would you possibly consider adding a female player option? doesn't have to be right now as currently below me it would require a story re-write but say you could maybe work on it as a side project if your so inclined incrementally just a thought. Love the game btw! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the suggestion! ^^ I know there's a good amount of support for this becoming a thing at some point for the game, so I can't fully rule it out. I do believe some big concerns would naturally be considering existing cg art adjustments to make it work, along with some that'd just simply need new ones fully. (More adult ones as malexfemale vs femalexfemale has quite a bit more differences for what's going on. ^^")
We'll continue to keep it in mind strongly and check the demand for it as development moves through for the base game, keeping it open for possibilities on what to do or how to go about certain things, etc. It's probably the most demanding thing I've heard for MA, so if that's telling for the odds for this. :P
We're going to have v0.19 out for the public at the end of this month! ^^" We had some unexpected news heading into January with our programmer stepping down, so we had to delay things briefly to make sure the new programmer is brought on and caught up to speed that'll be working on the game moving through 2022. (More details in our dev blog about this below.)
I commented due to the update saying by end of January and it's now going into the 26th (aka 26-31 left) I was a bit confused, I guess nothing new yet.
Sorry, I must've missed this notification. >.< I shared news on Patreon that our new programmer that just took over for our previous on is working on v0.20 and so it wasn't quite expected, but I had to give them a heads up notice of starting sooner than originally expected. I know this one's been a long wait, but the moment it's all in engine here within the next week. We'll get the ball rolling in regards to v0.21 for mid March, v0.22 at start of May, etc. ^^"
Sorry to hear you're having issues with opening it. >.< Just to walk through some steps in case you overlooked something.
(1) - Download "MessyAcademy-0.18-pc.zip" (2) - Open the .zip file with winrar or your choice of unzipping program and extract the folder within to your desktop, etc. (3) - Open the "MessyAcademy-0.18-pc" folder that is now out of the zip folder. (4) - Double click or right click, run as admin on "MessyAcademy.exe" (Only use the -32 version if you aren't using 64bit os.) (5) - Game should load within 5 seconds at the title screen! ^^
(If these steps don't help fix the problem, perhaps it could be a security/protection setting with windows preventing .exe files from running if they're not fully trusted by Microsoft? <.< I haven't heard much of this for Ren'py engine games though.)
Eyup! Bridget and Lola aren't seen yet for v0.18, not to majorly spoil anything. But episodes 1-5 will cover the common route and mainly introduce the cast to the player. ^^
January ^^" Between the busy holidays recently and sudden news, it's slowed things down a tiny bit. We'll have things moving along smoothly again as we're starting up work again on stuff here in the next day or two, many of us are.
I downloaded it on android but I don't know how to play? Is there an app I need to run it through? This is my first itchio download so I don't know what to do
I believe if I'm not mistaken, once the apk file is downloaded onto your Android device. You should be able to find a icon for the game where your recent apps download to and tapping on it will load the game up. ^^ (Within the next update or two, we'll going to update the game app/program icon so it stands out better too.)
So is it in files or the app store? I'm lost. I found its file in files but I tried every option on it and nothing happened. There isn't a way to extract the file that I know of
Sorry about my earlier message. >.< Okay, so I tried downloading it for myself and this is what my steps were. Hopefully this helps!
1. Click Download Now button on the itch page. 2. "No thanks, just take me to the downloads" click. 3. Click Download button above "Messy Academy v0.18 Android 193MB" 4. "Do you want to download android.messyacademy-18-universal-release.apk?" (For me it asked "again" cause I tried doing it once.) 5. Click Download. (It'll say downloading, along with "details" next to it.) 6. Download finishes. "android.messyacademy-18-universal-release.apk." (Open), Tap on the Open link/Button. 7. Should pop up a notification. (Messy Academy, shows Ren'py icon) "Do you want to install an update to this existing application? Your existing data will not be lost." Or "Do you want to install, etc." Tap on (Install) Button/link. 8. It will begin installing and then it'll say on the same notification popup. "App installed." (Done) or (Open) tap on the Open button/link. 9. The game should launch to the title screen, enjoy! ^^
(For later when you close out of the game app after all of this. You should be able to now find the Messy Academy app located where your other unorganized apps are located. It'll have the same Ren'py icon seen from the above process until we update said icon in the next coming updates.)
Added note! I think my first time after step 5, once it was finished. It asked me if I'd want to open the app using Malwarebytes or File/Game installer. (Which I assume is part of Android by default? I don't recall having to download anything extra like that.)

Should expect to see it in-game sometime during Q1 2022 for releases as it'll show up during a select character's route. :P (There will be a hint to who it is in episode 5)
(1) - I haven't fully decided how to go about this, as it won't appeal for everyone. <.< What might happen if there's fitting moments for these scenes to pop up, we'd make it optional by choices and very clear to the player. (I'd take this very lightly as a promise though, more up in the air.)
(2) - Had some personal stuff going on and so it affected some script work, but we're getting stuff wrapped up here within the next 2 weeks before we go on our winter holiday break. (Related to this, but during our break period we're prepping for 2022 so releases happen more consistently around every 30-45 days.)
In relation to Diaper contents: You could just make a setting that is turned off from the Start. Would be the easiest solution, without showing something to someone that he/she didn't want to see, i guess. ( If you go as far as considering it, would be most welcome if you could make two options for fluid contents and more ^-^ )

Hi, I was wondering if and how I can download the last version of Messy Academy on the former engine. Thanks. BTW I've been a huge fan of the game since, I think, around July 2019 because of how brilliant this game is. only thing I don't like is Joey and the black haired girl(don't even remember her name :p ) If she was more focused on feminization rather than ntr I think I'd love her though :) . I think the easiest and most boring way to explain it is that you either like X thing or you won't quite get the appeal of said X thing. I mean there's nothing wrong with not liking certain things or not understanding the appeal, I'm sure even those who find diapers appealing have subject material that they can't grasp or understand why people would like it, etc.
I know that isn't the answer you're probably looking for, but the appeal is going to have it's varying degrees of what people find appealing about it to the point where there isn't a one given answer. For myself, I think of the appeal as being linked to humiliation in softer tones that can vary into more extreme tones. Humiliation aside, it can come off as being cute or adorable depending on the situation for a character. (Note with my mentions is that I'm talking purely fictional characters and writing wise, scenario and the like. Real life situations and stuff doesn't really appeal to me, but for other people it might and that's okay too.)
i guess i get that, i can normally at least kinda understand how some people are into various kinks even if i am not into it, but this one is one i just dont understand lol
No worries! :P I totally get it the angle of those that aren't into it or can't quite see what the appeal is too. Sometimes certain kinks can be a bit hard to see what the big pull is all about, just seems to be one of those things. Hopefully my view/angle at least helps a bit, I hope others will chime in though on what their appeal is for it. ^^

As we head into 2022, our plan is to see how things go with these releases planned and right now the rough idea for 2022 is that we're going to possibly be shooting for a new release every 45 days or less. (Clearly 30-35 days being the best, but trying to find the sweet spot that works best as we're trying to make our releases feel more polished and offer more content visually and overall as we go along.)
Thanks for the heads up, we'll continue to gather information and see what might be causing issues with the Android versions. If you happen to have any other devices to try it with to cross test it, please do just to rule out if it's a device issue perhaps. (Android is always tough because for many like myself it is working on our Android devices without problems, but once in a while we'll get reports where it oddly isn't working.)
Well I do have a newer version of android I have the note 20 idk if that has anything to do with it and I know it's not My storage I will have like 40 GB left to download stuff it could be the platform if there is another place I can download it can you tell me

I believe this very issue was brought up with v0.17 a while ago too and we thought it was linked to a newer version of Ren'py software that was downloaded during v0.17 development, but it doesn't seem that way since we went back to a more stable Ren'py update during v0.18 to test that.

it’s my first time and I downloaded the most recent update I’m on windows but it is a older laptop can run the game fine just wondering why this was happenig
Gotcha! Just double checking which version the issue was happening with to look into it further as sometimes Android vs Wins/Mac can vary in issues. I've looked around a little on google as I tried recreating the issue personally and couldn't recreate it myself.
When you tried saving, did you close the game too quickly by chance? Might be worth trying a little test of starting a new game and getting a few boxes of dialogue into it before saving, then wait a good 30 seconds just to be extra safe and then close the game. (Followed by relaunching and trying to see if the data is there to load.)
If the above is useless I would suggest trying to maybe delete the zip and game folders you downloaded, try redownloading it fresh again. Try exporting the zip files of the game folder onto your desktop for a test to see how that works.
As a side mention, when you say it deletes your save. Are you noticing the saved data in the game folder is actually disappearing upon closing the game client or do you mean when closing the game, reopening the game to load said data it's gone? (Not sure if that'd really matter, but just trying to think of anything that might stick out to help <.< )
when I reload the game the save isn’t there and idk why I want to play this game but I really bc Nat be bothered going all the way though like 7 days every time I play got to the nurse and it’s so annoying…I just wanna play
Sorry to hear you're still having problems with this. <.< By the sounds of it I'm guessing you're playing the v0.14.5 download? Since the newer versions of the game have episode/chapters instead.
Just trying to confirm which version and all the tech details to look into it further, because v0.14.5 was our last version of the game using Tyranobuilder as our engine. While anything above that uses Ren'py engine and has been much more stable in comparison, smoother, etc.
I've tried to download v0.14.5 and run some tests to recreate this issue. The only thing that I have found that might be the problem and worth mentioning. When you downloaded the game, you are exporting the zip file/folder "Messy Academy v0.14.5" folder from the zip folder itself onto your desktop or into another folder on your computer, right? If you are trying to run the game app inside the zip folder itself, it can't change the contents of the zip folder to keep saved data inside of it. (I only ask this and suggest this because I tried doing this for testing and it was the only thing that led me to the similar issue you're having.)
I've attached a screenshot to show you what the game folder should look like after you have exported it from the zip folder onto your desktop as a example. (This shows the extra folder/files after I have already ran the game once and saved, creating saved data which I highlighted to point out.)
Based on our weekly schedule for writing, we're roughly expecting the next release within the time frame of late August - early September. Of course ideally earlier the better, but that's our safest rough guess with how the development has been proceeding. ^^

So I'm very, very happy to hear that it feels like we've made that kind of impact!
(Of course our current situation is a bit awkward with the programming situation taking a bit longer than I had hoped it would heading into this year after our original programmer stepped down. While that situation is a one day at a time sort of approach to getting on track. I still think it's possible that we can make up lost time as this year unfolds and provide very nice content along the way. The build I received for v0.19.5 late last night sadly wasn't in ideal shape visually. Sprites positions being half way on screen, off screen or just awkwardly placed. For a update that's mainly offering to display what the game looks like in full HD (1920x1080) quality, I didn't feel comfortable releasing what the game looked like in it's current state for supporters.
Sadly that means I also wish to delay v0.19 for the public until v0.19.5 is in a more presentable state that's expected from our supporters/fans. While v0.19 for the public is ready for release, I wouldn't feel right about releasing it and not having something offered to our supporters in exchange.
I'm discussing things with our programmer today and tomorrow, trying to figure out if we can get everything sorted out by this weekend to release these. I'm extremely sorry for the unexpected delay, it came as a surprise to myself last night as well.
where do i download the update and how do add the update to my save or does it do that automatically
When the next update releases tonight (v0.19), you'll just have to download it from here on itch.io or alternatively you can download from Patreon, F95zone, etc. If you have saved data from v0.18 or before, you just have to copy your "saves" folder over to the new game release folder to replace that "saves" folder with yours. ^^ (Then in-game when you go to load your data, it'll be there.)
[Warning: If saved data from v0.18 is saved right at the very end of episode 3, the data might not work depending on how close your saved data is to the end of episode screen.]

Actually yes! ^^ This is something we're offering in one of the near upcoming releases. It'll mainly only appear in the portrait area of the text box ui for the protag being seen, but there will be some rare moments through the game that place you into the pov of other characters.

Oh okay! Gotcha, when trying to launch the app it just isn't loading? Have you tried uninstalling and installing it again to see if that fixes it? (Sadly our mobile support has had quite a bit of reports from users having problems in the past. What we're probably going to end up doing here with our next releases, is add a disclaimer that lightly warns users that our Android builds are lower priority compared to pc/mac builds during major development. It's more of a bonus and hopefully one that works on most devices or doesn't run into many issues for some. ^^" )
when I launch the app, it works as it should. However the buttons in the main menu don't work. Uninstalling and installing it again doesn't work either.
Very odd.. <.< It could be a device side issue possibly. (Hardest part about mobile support/specs) I don't know if you have another phone device or tablet you can try downloading it on to test if it works. We'll try to look into things on our side with the engine, but sadly with mobile. There's a lot more variables going on with it works for one person without any issue, but someone else's device can't launch it, buttons not working, etc.
Regardless, thank you for bringing this to our attention. I can't promise we'll be able to fix this, as there's a number of factors at play and our primary development focus for now is more on pc/mac versions working as intended. (We'll still try putting time aside though if there's anything we can do on our end, sorry for the troubles! >.< )

would you possibly consider adding a female player option? doesn't have to be right now as currently below me it would require a story re-write but say you could maybe work on it as a side project if your so inclined incrementally just a thought. Love the game btw! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the suggestion! ^^ I know there's a good amount of support for this becoming a thing at some point for the game, so I can't fully rule it out. I do believe some big concerns would naturally be considering existing cg art adjustments to make it work, along with some that'd just simply need new ones fully. (More adult ones as malexfemale vs femalexfemale has quite a bit more differences for what's going on. ^^")
We'll continue to keep it in mind strongly and check the demand for it as development moves through for the base game, keeping it open for possibilities on what to do or how to go about certain things, etc. It's probably the most demanding thing I've heard for MA, so if that's telling for the odds for this. :P

We're going to have v0.19 out for the public at the end of this month! ^^" We had some unexpected news heading into January with our programmer stepping down, so we had to delay things briefly to make sure the new programmer is brought on and caught up to speed that'll be working on the game moving through 2022. I know this one's been a long wait, but the moment it's all in engine here within the next week. We'll get the ball rolling in regards to v0.21 for mid March, v0.22 at start of May, etc. ^^"

Sorry to hear you're having issues with opening it. >.< Just to walk through some steps in case you overlooked something.
(1) - Download "MessyAcademy-0.18-pc.zip"
(2) - Open the .zip file with winrar or your choice of unzipping program and extract the folder within to your desktop, etc.
(3) - Open the "MessyAcademy-0.18-pc" folder that is now out of the zip folder.
(4) - Double click or right click, run as admin on "MessyAcademy.exe" (Only use the -32 version if you aren't using 64bit os.)
(5) - Game should load within 5 seconds at the title screen! ^^
(If these steps don't help fix the problem, perhaps it could be a security/protection setting with windows preventing .exe files from running if they're not fully trusted by Microsoft? <.< I haven't heard much of this for Ren'py engine games though.)

I downloaded it on android but I don't know how to play? Is there an app I need to run it through? This is my first itchio download so I don't know what to do
I believe if I'm not mistaken, once the apk file is downloaded onto your Android device. You should be able to find a icon for the game where your recent apps download to and tapping on it will load the game up. ^^ (Within the next update or two, we'll going to update the game app/program icon so it stands out better too.)
So is it in files or the app store? I'm lost. I found its file in files but I tried every option on it and nothing happened. There isn't a way to extract the file that I know of
Sorry about my earlier message. >.< Okay, so I tried downloading it for myself and this is what my steps were. Hopefully this helps!
1. Click Download Now button on the itch page.
2. "No thanks, just take me to the downloads" click.
3. Click Download button above "Messy Academy v0.18 Android 193MB"
4. "Do you want to download android.messyacademy-18-universal-release.apk?" (For me it asked "again" cause I tried doing it once.)
5. Click Download. (It'll say downloading, along with "details" next to it.)
6. Download finishes. "android.messyacademy-18-universal-release.apk." (Open), Tap on the Open link/Button.
7. Should pop up a notification. (Messy Academy, shows Ren'py icon) "Do you want to install an update to this existing application? Your existing data will not be lost." Or "Do you want to install, etc." Tap on (Install) Button/link.
8. It will begin installing and then it'll say on the same notification popup. "App installed." (Done) or (Open) tap on the Open button/link.
9. The game should launch to the title screen, enjoy! ^^
(For later when you close out of the game app after all of this. You should be able to now find the Messy Academy app located where your other unorganized apps are located. It'll have the same Ren'py icon seen from the above process until we update said icon in the next coming updates.)
Added note! I think my first time after step 5, once it was finished. It asked me if I'd want to open the app using Malwarebytes or File/Game installer. (Which I assume is part of Android by default? I don't recall having to download anything extra like that.)

Should expect to see it in-game sometime during Q1 2022 for releases as it'll show up during a select character's route. :P (There will be a hint to who it is in episode 5)
2 questions: Will we get to see the inside of anyone's used diaper? When is the update?
(1) - I haven't fully decided how to go about this, as it won't appeal for everyone. <.< What might happen if there's fitting moments for these scenes to pop up, we'd make it optional by choices and very clear to the player. (I'd take this very lightly as a promise though, more up in the air.)
(2) - Had some personal stuff going on and so it affected some script work, but we're getting stuff wrapped up here within the next 2 weeks before we go on our winter holiday break. (Related to this, but during our break period we're prepping for 2022 so releases happen more consistently around every 30-45 days.)
In relation to Diaper contents: You could just make a setting that is turned off from the Start. Would be the easiest solution, without showing something to someone that he/she didn't want to see, i guess.
( If you go as far as considering it, would be most welcome if you could make two options for fluid contents and more ^-^ )

BTW I've been a huge fan of the game since, I think, around July 2019 because of how brilliant this game is. only thing I don't like is Joey and the black haired girl(don't even remember her name :p ) If she was more focused on feminization rather than ntr I think I'd love her though :) . off topic but can someone PLEASE explain to me the appeal of diapers? it just seems so gross to me
I think the easiest and most boring way to explain it is that you either like X thing or you won't quite get the appeal of said X thing. I mean there's nothing wrong with not liking certain things or not understanding the appeal, I'm sure even those who find diapers appealing have subject material that they can't grasp or understand why people would like it, etc.
I know that isn't the answer you're probably looking for, but the appeal is going to have it's varying degrees of what people find appealing about it to the point where there isn't a one given answer. For myself, I think of the appeal as being linked to humiliation in softer tones that can vary into more extreme tones. Humiliation aside, it can come off as being cute or adorable depending on the situation for a character. (Note with my mentions is that I'm talking purely fictional characters and writing wise, scenario and the like. Real life situations and stuff doesn't really appeal to me, but for other people it might and that's okay too.)

No worries! :P I totally get it the angle of those that aren't into it or can't quite see what the appeal is too. Sometimes certain kinks can be a bit hard to see what the big pull is all about, just seems to be one of those things. Hopefully my view/angle at least helps a bit, I hope others will chime in though on what their appeal is for it. ^^

As we head into 2022, our plan is to see how things go with these releases planned and right now the rough idea for 2022 is that we're going to possibly be shooting for a new release every 45 days or less. (Clearly 30-35 days being the best, but trying to find the sweet spot that works best as we're trying to make our releases feel more polished and offer more content visually and overall as we go along.)
The game dose still not work for Android please try to fix it
Thanks for the heads up, we'll continue to gather information and see what might be causing issues with the Android versions. If you happen to have any other devices to try it with to cross test it, please do just to rule out if it's a device issue perhaps. (Android is always tough because for many like myself it is working on our Android devices without problems, but once in a while we'll get reports where it oddly isn't working.)
Well I do have a newer version of android I have the note 20 idk if that has anything to do with it and I know it's not My storage I will have like 40 GB left to download stuff it could be the platform if there is another place I can download it can you tell me

I'll double check with our engine programmer to see if there's anything that comes to mind to try for fixes. I believe this very issue was brought up with v0.17 a while ago too and we thought it was linked to a newer version of Ren'py software that was downloaded during v0.17 development, but it doesn't seem that way since we went back to a more stable Ren'py update during v0.18 to test that.

Gotcha! Just double checking which version the issue was happening with to look into it further as sometimes Android vs Wins/Mac can vary in issues. I've looked around a little on google as I tried recreating the issue personally and couldn't recreate it myself.
When you tried saving, did you close the game too quickly by chance? Might be worth trying a little test of starting a new game and getting a few boxes of dialogue into it before saving, then wait a good 30 seconds just to be extra safe and then close the game. (Followed by relaunching and trying to see if the data is there to load.)
If the above is useless I would suggest trying to maybe delete the zip and game folders you downloaded, try redownloading it fresh again. Try exporting the zip files of the game folder onto your desktop for a test to see how that works.
As a side mention, when you say it deletes your save. Are you noticing the saved data in the game folder is actually disappearing upon closing the game client or do you mean when closing the game, reopening the game to load said data it's gone? (Not sure if that'd really matter, but just trying to think of anything that might stick out to help <.< )

Sorry to hear you're still having problems with this. <.< By the sounds of it I'm guessing you're playing the v0.14.5 download? Since the newer versions of the game have episode/chapters instead.
Just trying to confirm which version and all the tech details to look into it further, because v0.14.5 was our last version of the game using Tyranobuilder as our engine. While anything above that uses Ren'py engine and has been much more stable in comparison, smoother, etc.
I've tried to download v0.14.5 and run some tests to recreate this issue. The only thing that I have found that might be the problem and worth mentioning. When you downloaded the game, you are exporting the zip file/folder "Messy Academy v0.14.5" folder from the zip folder itself onto your desktop or into another folder on your computer, right? If you are trying to run the game app inside the zip folder itself, it can't change the contents of the zip folder to keep saved data inside of it. (I only ask this and suggest this because I tried doing this for testing and it was the only thing that led me to the similar issue you're having.)
I've attached a screenshot to show you what the game folder should look like after you have exported it from the zip folder onto your desktop as a example. (This shows the extra folder/files after I have already ran the game once and saved, creating saved data which I highlighted to point out.)

when is episode 4 coming out
Based on our weekly schedule for writing, we're roughly expecting the next release within the time frame of late August - early September. Of course ideally earlier the better, but that's our safest rough guess with how the development has been proceeding. ^^
