I think the easiest and most boring way to explain it is that you either like X thing or you won't quite get the appeal of said X thing. I mean there's nothing wrong with not liking certain things or not understanding the appeal, I'm sure even those who find diapers appealing have subject material that they can't grasp or understand why people would like it, etc.
I know that isn't the answer you're probably looking for, but the appeal is going to have it's varying degrees of what people find appealing about it to the point where there isn't a one given answer. For myself, I think of the appeal as being linked to humiliation in softer tones that can vary into more extreme tones. Humiliation aside, it can come off as being cute or adorable depending on the situation for a character. (Note with my mentions is that I'm talking purely fictional characters and writing wise, scenario and the like. Real life situations and stuff doesn't really appeal to me, but for other people it might and that's okay too.)

No worries! :P I totally get it the angle of those that aren't into it or can't quite see what the appeal is too. Sometimes certain kinks can be a bit hard to see what the big pull is all about, just seems to be one of those things. Hopefully my view/angle at least helps a bit, I hope others will chime in though on what their appeal is for it. ^^

(Clearly 30-35 days being the best, but trying to find the sweet spot that works best as we're trying to make our releases feel more polished and offer more content visually and overall as we go along.)
Thanks for the heads up, we'll continue to gather information and see what might be causing issues with the Android versions. If you happen to have any other devices to try it with to cross test it, please do just to rule out if it's a device issue perhaps. (Android is always tough because for many like myself it is working on our Android devices without problems, but once in a while we'll get reports where it oddly isn't working.)
Well I do have a newer version of android I have the note 20 idk if that has anything to do with it and I know it's not My storage I will have like 40 GB left to download stuff it could be the platform if there is another place I can download it can you tell me

I'll double check with our engine programmer to see if there's anything that comes to mind to try for fixes. I believe this very issue was brought up with v0.17 a while ago too and we thought it was linked to a newer version of Ren'py software that was downloaded during v0.17 development, but it doesn't seem that way since we went back to a more stable Ren'py update during v0.18 to test that.

Gotcha! Just double checking which version the issue was happening with to look into it further as sometimes Android vs Wins/Mac can vary in issues. I've looked around a little on google as I tried recreating the issue personally and couldn't recreate it myself.
When you tried saving, did you close the game too quickly by chance? Might be worth trying a little test of starting a new game and getting a few boxes of dialogue into it before saving, then wait a good 30 seconds just to be extra safe and then close the game. (Followed by relaunching and trying to see if the data is there to load.)
If the above is useless I would suggest trying to maybe delete the zip and game folders you downloaded, try redownloading it fresh again. Try exporting the zip files of the game folder onto your desktop for a test to see how that works.
As a side mention, when you say it deletes your save. Are you noticing the saved data in the game folder is actually disappearing upon closing the game client or do you mean when closing the game, reopening the game to load said data it's gone? (Not sure if that'd really matter, but just trying to think of anything that might stick out to help <.< )
when I reload the game the save isn’t there and idk why I want to play this game but I really bc Nat be bothered going all the way though like 7 days every time I play got to the nurse and it’s so annoying…I just wanna play
Sorry to hear you're still having problems with this. <.< By the sounds of it I'm guessing you're playing the v0.14.5 download? Since the newer versions of the game have episode/chapters instead.
Just trying to confirm which version and all the tech details to look into it further, because v0.14.5 was our last version of the game using Tyranobuilder as our engine. While anything above that uses Ren'py engine and has been much more stable in comparison, smoother, etc.
I've tried to download v0.14.5 and run some tests to recreate this issue. The only thing that I have found that might be the problem and worth mentioning. When you downloaded the game, you are exporting the zip file/folder "Messy Academy v0.14.5" folder from the zip folder itself onto your desktop or into another folder on your computer, right? If you are trying to run the game app inside the zip folder itself, it can't change the contents of the zip folder to keep saved data inside of it. (I only ask this and suggest this because I tried doing this for testing and it was the only thing that led me to the similar issue you're having.)
I've attached a screenshot to show you what the game folder should look like after you have exported it from the zip folder onto your desktop as a example. (This shows the extra folder/files after I have already ran the game once and saved, creating saved data which I highlighted to point out.)
Based on our weekly schedule for writing, we're roughly expecting the next release within the time frame of late August - early September. Of course ideally earlier the better, but that's our safest rough guess with how the development has been proceeding. ^^
Played through this the past few nights, and I had to make an account just to tell you what a wonderful game I thought it was. Amazing work! I don't usually even play visual novels, but I really enjoyed all the writing both through the main story and Miki's Dream. Can't wait to see it finished, keep up the good work! I've played a few ABDL games, and this really feels like the most polished, well-thought out one.

That's odd! <.< I believe our Android version tends to be the most iffy for little issues among users, probably a number of things that affects it.
I assume this is a fresh install of the game on your phone, like you didn't have v0.17 or previous already installed before by chance? (I noticed for myself there's issues when I try to install the latest version to replace the old one already on my phone. It won't do what you mentioned, but it doesn't add the new content like it should.)
My other guess is try selecting some of the other buttons on the title screen to see if they work right.
I've downloaded the new update and it seems like the save system has been changed don't really see a reason for that I think more slots is preferable I liked the fact that I could also save all cgi scenes
The save system shouldn't have changed? <.< Are you sure it's v0.18 and not the 0.14 files by mistake as those are older. I just booted up v0.18 on PC and tried saving, checking out the save/load screens and there's still the same amount of slots offered to use and the extra pages below to toggle through and use too.
As for being able to save the cg scenes, I don't know if you're referring to saving the images themselves onto your computer outside the game? You should find those in the game folder in the images sub folder.
0.14.5 is the last version of the game before we swapped to Ren'py engine. There's some content there that is coming to the game still in Ren'py, but plenty of new content on top of it.
0.18 is suggested for new players, then if curious. I'd say check out 0.14.5 to see how things were looking before.
I am twenty minutes into this game and I can honestly say I am shocked to say the least. I was able to keep a straight face for the first four rules, but that fifth one's punishment is unbelievable. The very premise of the punishment is revolting to me, to steal someone's memories is too cruel for me. Memories and experience is the foundation that makes you who and even losing a part of your memory changes you.
This is in no way me saying I hate the game, just this particular part and I hope if there is any scenes in the game like this they can be avoided.
I hope you do enjoy the rest of your experience playing and trying the game, find moments you enjoy very much. ^^ With that said, I won't spoil anything regarding your shocked concern about the rule in question. I think the best I can say without ruining anything, is that there shouldn't be much of a worry regarding this rule, as it's meant to be the most extreme form of punishment for the worst contenders. (Light spoiler for ep 1: If asking John further about rules, he briefly mentions in the past. The academy has only had to make use of that rule once before. Off screen/out of game.)
No update yet. We're currently in the engine progress now and seems to be around 3/4th's of the way finished. If things continue at this rate, we're looking at Friday as a pretty good release date. ^^

Yeah.. <.< We have a 150% confirmed date for the next update for June 26th. Then for July we'll see 3 updates happen. Public release wise, it'll be something like this for this Summer.

I can look into seeing if it'll be possible. I know the end goal will be to offer the finished version of the game with as much support as possible, but I'll have to talk to our engine programmer and see if we can maybe try and get a iphone release going soon.
We've got some really exciting stuff in store coming up this Summer. :P Probably our biggest amount of art coming to the game in a given period of time. We should be seeing the next releases hit later this week/weekend, then the following update will be targeted for end of June. Roughly the next few updates for the game should all come within 2-3 weeks of each other for the Summer.
Trying not to spoil anything too major, but yes there is a route to be added to the game that features cross-dressing and also another one that focuses more heavy on femdom. :P
Right, sorry! Forgot to mention, but eyup! Not in the game yet, I'd say we'll begin to see heavier content of those two around Fall of this year. When playing, before choosing a girl's route, you'll also get a good idea of what kind of content to roughly expect for the girls. ^^

We're still checking over some issues we're running into with the next update, but I'd say roughly to give some wiggle room for error. It could be possible for a new release on May 31st, but we'll know for sure during the weekend. Otherwise the safe bet where it'd be released regardless, would be around June 4-5th.
The flip side is that we're already getting ahead of ourselves by getting some of us to work ahead on episode 5 (as we're getting ep 4 ready for release). We're expecting easily a late June release for episode 5 and from there about every 30-35 days tops for new releases.
Hi! Love the game so far! But I wanted to ask, is there anyway to hide the UI? The scenes in the game are glorious but I don’t have any way to fully appreciate them when the text box is in the way, so it would be nice to hide that for a bit. Other than that I love everything so far! Especially Miki hehe :3

If you're on Android we're currently looking into fixing our gui this Summer as there's no way that we're aware of to hide textbox on that version. The plan is to sometime this Summer do a gui overhaul and with it, we'll see a show/hide button next to the textbox that'll make it much simpler for all. (Along with plans to ensure our mobile gui is sized properly)

Eyup, still working on updates! Ran into some blocks in the path, but with how things look. We should have the next updates released at the latest June 4-5th. The following update after that is already being worked on and will be done by the end of June.
Hi! There is diapers, which focuses more on the DL aspect. That does include seeing used diapers at times. (Visually discoloring and shape will be changed/or seen with this on them.)
Below are a few that stick out that might be more fetish hit or miss for some, but these below ones are more linked to when you get into route episodes with a girl. (These should be hinted at before getting into their route.)
We'll look into releasing a IOS Apple Store version when the game is fully finished, but until then. We might look into getting our normal versions released along the way available for download through other means.
This seems to be a on-going issue with Android that we'll need more details and testing with. The takeaway of our light testing so far seems to be that it might be a storage or ram usage issue in loading assets. (Hence not being able to proceed) But we can't say for sure, there's been claims of it working on other peoples phones and some in house testing within the team for our personal phones with it working.
One thing we're going to do that should offer a fix is that someone has mentioned Ren'py itself has some sort of issue on it's more recent version of the engine software, so when we release v0.18, we'll be running it off of a previously working Ren'py software version to test that out.
FWIW same issue here, none of the main menu options do anything. It's a Pixel 2 XL too with 6GB of free space and plenty of RAM; positive it's not a hardware issue.

We're going to take a look at some improvements for Android in order to prevent issues like this. Naturally our end goal isn't for the latest and greatest phones to be able to run the game, but rather it's most likely going to require some extensive compressing of assets/resources for the game on our end to help make it better performed on mobile devices. (Only issue with this is that it might not be 100% perfect still along the development process, as we firstly test the Windows/Mac versions and everything is built in mind for computer use firstly and mobile is more of a second thought.)
Not to make it sound like a bad thing towards mobile users, as we want the option for many to play on their mobile devices with each update made to the game during development. But it's mainly just to keep things rolling along smoothly, that we prioritize Windows/Mac in mind first and we're mostly just porting that very same version to mobile currently. ^^" (Hence the file size/spec requirements.)
Ideally within our next update or two, we'll hopefully be able to apply some changes for the mobile versions of v0.19 & v0.20 coming up for public to fix the file size/specs and continue to do some adjustments when it comes to the mobile versions if possible.
Sorry for the issues though. >.< Hopefully some testing can be done with v0.19 before hand, the only issue with that is each device will vary. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy note 10 sadly, so it's a bit more recent still kind of, so I can't recreate the issue on my device when testing. Bare with us though! <3
Gotcha! I believe someone else had the very same issue with the game not launching or when it did launch, it was stuck loading assets on the title screen asking them if they'd like to close the program or wait. I believe they had to free up more storage (either turn off some background processes or just delete some apps they don't use.) In order to get it working.
We'll also be keeping an eye on this as the game continues to update monthly and slowly increases in file size, so that we can figure out how to cut down on it being too much space for phones.

It's possible there's a spec requirement for Android phones to figure out, which might take some testing among users but I'll pass some notes along to our engine programmer and see if we can figure something out about this.
I won't outright say which upcoming episode we'll end up seeing her or said event, but episodes 1-5 are seen as the common route and general setup of story. So we'll see all the characters introduced by episode 5, some events are going to be route related though. I'd say if the cosplay madness event will most likely be part of Lola's episode 6 or 7.
It's hard to pinpoint how far off until that point, but our expected releases coming up in 2021 Q1 are as follows. -Feb 5th (public: Episode 3) (supporter: Miki's Dream side story) -March (public: Miki's Dream) (supporter: Episode 4) -April (public: Episode 4) (supporter: Episode 5) -May (public: Episode 5) (supporter: Episode 6 [roughly 3-4 girls])

First, I’d like to say that Messy Academy is the best diaper-related visual novel game I know of and I’m considering becoming a supporter, which is kind of radical for me, but to me what you are doing is true art, not just more boring porn. However, I had some thoughts I’d like to share, and I recognize I’m just one opinion among many so nothing may come of this, but I wanted to say something anyway. I’m pretty gender fluid bordering on trans and have always identified more with my feminine side in daily life and so when it comes to VN games or manga/anime I tend to automatically identify more with the female characters and see things from their point of view. This is why I struggle to enjoy “harem” style stories because I can almost never identify with the male lead. I just fail to feel much of a connection to male characters. So, when I play Messy Academy I feel like the proverbial square peg in a round hole because in real life I feel much more like Miki, or Juliet, or Erika, but I don’t feel like Brandon at all. He and I simply don’t get along! I recognize that for a VN to be commercially successful it has to primarily cater to the widest possible audience, which I assume are males who do identify more with Brandon’s character, so I understand the direction the design of the game has gone from that perspective. Having said that, I would feel much more emotionally connected to the characters if there was an option to play as a female character in place of Brandon. This would also come with two additional benefits in terms of game play structure that I can see. First it would provide a way to start the game without a need for the whole hacking of the school’s computer to change the student records thing which would simplify the storyline, and second I think it would also provide a way to play Erika’s route romantically even if the characters are genetically-related as it would make the whole incest problem not so off-putting.
Anyway, that’s my 2 (or maybe even 3) cents. I hope nothing I say offends; I just really wish there was a way to play the game as a girl too! Btw, Miki, and Erika are my favorite characters and I struggle to decide between them, but I like several others as well. I think you did a very nice job with character design. I’m sorry this is such a long comment! I looked for a way to send it to you somewhere else but didn’t see any obvious way of doing so. Thank you for all your hard work!

I think this is one of our most requested brought up suggestions is to look into offering a female choice for the protag in the story and I'll say we are looking into it. But it might possibly take a bit of time before we do begin handling it, as we're trying our best currently to keep our focus less split up as possible and come back later towards the end of development with additional things.
With that said though, we have been thinking about it and how to possibly tackle it. Without trying to hype it up and fail on our delivering of it, we're talking about two options possibly to run with. Option (A) would be simply offering the player the choice between Brandon or a new female character who roughly follows through events of the game fairly similarly to him. Option (B) would be instead, offering players to play through the game as Erika as the female protag and tackle things from her point of view.
We still have much to think about and figure out about said options of course, as we have to wonder if the female protag option would cover options to date the male cast only or if there's the path to date the other females. We'd have to figure how that would fit with Erika based on her character (no spoilers). When the time does come for this, we'd most likely engage with our fans/supporters across our social platforms to see what feels the best in terms of handling the dating aspect, etc.
Hopefully that leaves you feeling hopeful for the future of the project as it fleshes out more, but maybe not too over hopeful or hyped. As we don't want to over sell or over hype on something we can't deliver on, but this is one of our most requested things and so it's safe that we'll see something in regards to it. :P
Thank you for the detailed response! I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who feels similarly. And I do agree with you that the best economic and public opinion policy to follow here is to under-promise and over-deliver as opposed to the other way around. Both options A and B seem like the most logical to consider. From the perspective of a player of the game I'm always interested in seeing a new character developed but I assume option B would take less time and money.
I must confess that I like having a sister character as a route in the game. So if something like option B were implemented and I was Erika, then who would be my sister in the game then? Any Japanese-styled VN game worth the name needs to have a sister character right??
As for dating the male characters from a female perspective, its not that I'm against the idea as such, but I think that if such routes were to be created it might be best if they were treated as secondary options because at least from my perspective, forcing the female characters to interact romantically with the male characters no matter which gender the user plays the game as rather undercuts the potential of playing as a female character in the first place, and puts me kind of back in the same situation I'm in now just from the opposite viewpoint. To put it another way, if I don't like to play as a certain male character now, then I'm not going to be interested in having to date said character either. But in the end it's not my game and I don't want to seem like I'm trying to force my opinions onto anyone. I hope that perhaps by sometime next year or the year after that development will have progressed to such a point that these concepts will be in more active consideration.

Sorry about that! John isn't quite leaving or being changed visually, but with the next upcoming update on Nov 4th. It'll be showing a lot of adjustment in how John comes across in the game, making him much less creepy full on pervert and more awkward teacher trying to get through his day. :P

The update coming out on Nov 4th does a huge improvement on the early content of the game. It's a bit crazy to say the least with just how much more better handled things come across as a first impression on new players with this update, so hopefully once it's out. It'll be a very welcomed change as we move forward. ^^

Apologies for not replying sooner, I have been experimenting on my computer and have figured out how to run the game (at least for me). My method is for Mac computers running 10.15 Catalina as the OS. I’m hoping this will also work for 11.0 Big Sur as well but no promises.
Step 1: download the latest Messy Academy Update mac.zip file to your desktop. At the time of this writing that is 0.13.5. When this file is downloaded it will appear as a folder on your desktop titled Messy Academy update 0.13.5 mac.
Step 2: Download the fix command file to your desktop. This will appear as a SHELL file titled Fix_Permissions.command
Step 3: Drag and drop the Fix_Permissions.command file into the Messy Academy update 0.13.5 mac folder. It should appear in the folder as a third item along with a credits.html file document and the game program Icon titled Acadamy_Reboot.
Step 4: Open the Terminal program on your mac located in the Applications folder.
Step 5: Now you need to execute on the SHELL file. With a terminal command window open enter: chmod u+x
Step 6: Now with both the Terminal window and the Messy Academy update 0.13.5 mac folder open side by side drag and drop the Fix_Permissions.command file into the terminal window just in front of the chmod u+x text. If done correctly the path to the file should appear so in general the complete command line should read chmod u+x /path/to/Fix_Permissions.command with the /path/to/ part varying depending on your mac’s file structure.
Step 7: Hit Enter in Terminal. Terminal should then execute on the SHELL file.
Step 8: Now click on the Academy_Reboot icon in the Messy Academy update 0.13.5 mac folder. The game should open just fine now.
A note on the previous instructions. One of the major areas of confusion is that on a mac the "tyranoscript.app" name for the game container file is hidden until the game actually opens and so saying “Place "Fix_Permissions.command" file in same folder as "tyranoscript.app"” does not help on a mac because you won’t know where to put it.

The rar file won't open or the program won't start up? I sadly can't test mac version personally, but someone was kind enough to mention this for a fix if there's issues trying to fix the mac version.

I've tried to find the folder containing "tyranoscript.app" by double tapping on the program icon and choosing "show package contents" but its nowhere to be found. So I have no idea how to implement this patch. Simply trying to open the program gets me the error message "The application “Messy_Academy_Reboot” can’t be opened." Please help! Thank you!
I should start by saying I sadly have zero understanding of Mac os sadly <.< But it should be downloaded as a zip file. Then export the folder inside onto your desktop or somewhere fitting.
From there I don't think the game shows a client/app to open? Maybe it just doesn't for me with Windows os. It's worth a shot, but did you give this fix a try? (We've had other Mac users have success with this.)
Sorry, I'm not sure you understood. That troubleshooting step is exactly what I tried and it does not work for me. I downloaded the "Fix_Permissions.command" file but there is no folder with a "tyranoscript.app" in it that I can find so I have no place to put the "Fix_Permissions.command" file. I can download the "Messy_Acadamy_Reboot" file just fine and it downloads to my desktop as a folder containing a credits.html file and an unknown program icon that will not open.

I know that isn't the answer you're probably looking for, but the appeal is going to have it's varying degrees of what people find appealing about it to the point where there isn't a one given answer. For myself, I think of the appeal as being linked to humiliation in softer tones that can vary into more extreme tones. Humiliation aside, it can come off as being cute or adorable depending on the situation for a character. (Note with my mentions is that I'm talking purely fictional characters and writing wise, scenario and the like. Real life situations and stuff doesn't really appeal to me, but for other people it might and that's okay too.)

(Clearly 30-35 days being the best, but trying to find the sweet spot that works best as we're trying to make our releases feel more polished and offer more content visually and overall as we go along.)
The game dose still not work for Android please try to fix it
Thanks for the heads up, we'll continue to gather information and see what might be causing issues with the Android versions. If you happen to have any other devices to try it with to cross test it, please do just to rule out if it's a device issue perhaps. (Android is always tough because for many like myself it is working on our Android devices without problems, but once in a while we'll get reports where it oddly isn't working.)
Well I do have a newer version of android I have the note 20 idk if that has anything to do with it and I know it's not My storage I will have like 40 GB left to download stuff it could be the platform if there is another place I can download it can you tell me

I believe this very issue was brought up with v0.17 a while ago too and we thought it was linked to a newer version of Ren'py software that was downloaded during v0.17 development, but it doesn't seem that way since we went back to a more stable Ren'py update during v0.18 to test that.

Gotcha! Just double checking which version the issue was happening with to look into it further as sometimes Android vs Wins/Mac can vary in issues. I've looked around a little on google as I tried recreating the issue personally and couldn't recreate it myself.
When you tried saving, did you close the game too quickly by chance? Might be worth trying a little test of starting a new game and getting a few boxes of dialogue into it before saving, then wait a good 30 seconds just to be extra safe and then close the game. (Followed by relaunching and trying to see if the data is there to load.)
If the above is useless I would suggest trying to maybe delete the zip and game folders you downloaded, try redownloading it fresh again. Try exporting the zip files of the game folder onto your desktop for a test to see how that works.
As a side mention, when you say it deletes your save. Are you noticing the saved data in the game folder is actually disappearing upon closing the game client or do you mean when closing the game, reopening the game to load said data it's gone? (Not sure if that'd really matter, but just trying to think of anything that might stick out to help <.< )

Sorry to hear you're still having problems with this. <.< By the sounds of it I'm guessing you're playing the v0.14.5 download? Since the newer versions of the game have episode/chapters instead.
Just trying to confirm which version and all the tech details to look into it further, because v0.14.5 was our last version of the game using Tyranobuilder as our engine. While anything above that uses Ren'py engine and has been much more stable in comparison, smoother, etc.
I've tried to download v0.14.5 and run some tests to recreate this issue. The only thing that I have found that might be the problem and worth mentioning. When you downloaded the game, you are exporting the zip file/folder "Messy Academy v0.14.5" folder from the zip folder itself onto your desktop or into another folder on your computer, right? If you are trying to run the game app inside the zip folder itself, it can't change the contents of the zip folder to keep saved data inside of it. (I only ask this and suggest this because I tried doing this for testing and it was the only thing that led me to the similar issue you're having.)
I've attached a screenshot to show you what the game folder should look like after you have exported it from the zip folder onto your desktop as a example. (This shows the extra folder/files after I have already ran the game once and saved, creating saved data which I highlighted to point out.)

when is episode 4 coming out
Based on our weekly schedule for writing, we're roughly expecting the next release within the time frame of late August - early September. Of course ideally earlier the better, but that's our safest rough guess with how the development has been proceeding. ^^
Played through this the past few nights, and I had to make an account just to tell you what a wonderful game I thought it was. Amazing work! I don't usually even play visual novels, but I really enjoyed all the writing both through the main story and Miki's Dream. Can't wait to see it finished, keep up the good work! I've played a few ABDL games, and this really feels like the most polished, well-thought out one.

That's odd! <.< I believe our Android version tends to be the most iffy for little issues among users, probably a number of things that affects it.
I assume this is a fresh install of the game on your phone, like you didn't have v0.17 or previous already installed before by chance? (I noticed for myself there's issues when I try to install the latest version to replace the old one already on my phone. It won't do what you mentioned, but it doesn't add the new content like it should.)
My other guess is try selecting some of the other buttons on the title screen to see if they work right.
I've downloaded the new update and it seems like the save system has been changed don't really see a reason for that I think more slots is preferable I liked the fact that I could also save all cgi scenes
The save system shouldn't have changed? <.< Are you sure it's v0.18 and not the 0.14 files by mistake as those are older. I just booted up v0.18 on PC and tried saving, checking out the save/load screens and there's still the same amount of slots offered to use and the extra pages below to toggle through and use too.
As for being able to save the cg scenes, I don't know if you're referring to saving the images themselves onto your computer outside the game? You should find those in the game folder in the images sub folder.

0.14.5 is the last version of the game before we swapped to Ren'py engine. There's some content there that is coming to the game still in Ren'py, but plenty of new content on top of it.
0.18 is suggested for new players, then if curious. I'd say check out 0.14.5 to see how things were looking before.
I am twenty minutes into this game and I can honestly say I am shocked to say the least. I was able to keep a straight face for the first four rules, but that fifth one's punishment is unbelievable. The very premise of the punishment is revolting to me, to steal someone's memories is too cruel for me. Memories and experience is the foundation that makes you who and even losing a part of your memory changes you.
This is in no way me saying I hate the game, just this particular part and I hope if there is any scenes in the game like this they can be avoided.
I hope you do enjoy the rest of your experience playing and trying the game, find moments you enjoy very much. ^^ With that said, I won't spoil anything regarding your shocked concern about the rule in question. I think the best I can say without ruining anything, is that there shouldn't be much of a worry regarding this rule, as it's meant to be the most extreme form of punishment for the worst contenders. (Light spoiler for ep 1: If asking John further about rules, he briefly mentions in the past. The academy has only had to make use of that rule once before. Off screen/out of game.)

No update yet. We're currently in the engine progress now and seems to be around 3/4th's of the way finished. If things continue at this rate, we're looking at Friday as a pretty good release date. ^^

We've got some really exciting stuff in store coming up this Summer. :P Probably our biggest amount of art coming to the game in a given period of time. We should be seeing the next releases hit later this week/weekend, then the following update will be targeted for end of June. We're still checking over some issues we're running into with the next update, but I'd say roughly to give some wiggle room for error. It could be possible for a new release on May 31st, but we'll know for sure during the weekend. Otherwise the safe bet where it'd be released regardless, would be around June 4-5th.
The flip side is that we're already getting ahead of ourselves by getting some of us to work ahead on episode 5 (as we're getting ep 4 ready for release). We're expecting easily a late June release for episode 5 and from there about every 30-35 days tops for new releases.

If you're on Android we're currently looking into fixing our gui this Summer as there's no way that we're aware of to hide textbox on that version. The plan is to sometime this Summer do a gui overhaul and with it, we'll see a show/hide button next to the textbox that'll make it much simpler for all. (Along with plans to ensure our mobile gui is sized properly)

I can't get past the main menu on android :c every time I click an option it does nothing
This seems to be a on-going issue with Android that we'll need more details and testing with. The takeaway of our light testing so far seems to be that it might be a storage or ram usage issue in loading assets. (Hence not being able to proceed) But we can't say for sure, there's been claims of it working on other peoples phones and some in house testing within the team for our personal phones with it working.
One thing we're going to do that should offer a fix is that someone has mentioned Ren'py itself has some sort of issue on it's more recent version of the engine software, so when we release v0.18, we'll be running it off of a previously working Ren'py software version to test that out.
I just downloaded v17 on Android last night and 0 issues. Maybe your device or Android version is under-powered and can't load it properly.
FWIW same issue here, none of the main menu options do anything. It's a Pixel 2 XL too with 6GB of free space and plenty of RAM; positive it's not a hardware issue.

We're going to take a look at some improvements for Android in order to prevent issues like this. Naturally our end goal isn't for the latest and greatest phones to be able to run the game, but rather it's most likely going to require some extensive compressing of assets/resources for the game on our end to help make it better performed on mobile devices. (Only issue with this is that it might not be 100% perfect still along the development process, as we firstly test the Windows/Mac versions and everything is built in mind for computer use firstly and mobile is more of a second thought.)
Not to make it sound like a bad thing towards mobile users, as we want the option for many to play on their mobile devices with each update made to the game during development. But it's mainly just to keep things rolling along smoothly, that we prioritize Windows/Mac in mind first and we're mostly just porting that very same version to mobile currently. ^^" (Hence the file size/spec requirements.)
Ideally within our next update or two, we'll hopefully be able to apply some changes for the mobile versions of v0.19 & v0.20 coming up for public to fix the file size/specs and continue to do some adjustments when it comes to the mobile versions if possible.
Sorry for the issues though. >.< Hopefully some testing can be done with v0.19 before hand, the only issue with that is each device will vary. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy note 10 sadly, so it's a bit more recent still kind of, so I can't recreate the issue on my device when testing. Bare with us though! <3

Gotcha! I believe someone else had the very same issue with the game not launching or when it did launch, it was stuck loading assets on the title screen asking them if they'd like to close the program or wait. I believe they had to free up more storage (either turn off some background processes or just delete some apps they don't use.) In order to get it working.
We'll also be keeping an eye on this as the game continues to update monthly and slowly increases in file size, so that we can figure out how to cut down on it being too much space for phones.

I won't outright say which upcoming episode we'll end up seeing her or said event, but episodes 1-5 are seen as the common route and general setup of story. So we'll see all the characters introduced by episode 5, some events are going to be route related though. I'd say if the cosplay madness event will most likely be part of Lola's episode 6 or 7.
It's hard to pinpoint how far off until that point, but our expected releases coming up in 2021 Q1 are as follows.
-Feb 5th (public: Episode 3) (supporter: Miki's Dream side story)
-March (public: Miki's Dream) (supporter: Episode 4)
-April (public: Episode 4) (supporter: Episode 5)

First, I’d like to say that Messy Academy is the best diaper-related visual novel game I know of and I’m considering becoming a supporter, which is kind of radical for me, but to me what you are doing is true art, not just more boring porn. However, I had some thoughts I’d like to share, and I recognize I’m just one opinion among many so nothing may come of this, but I wanted to say something anyway. I’m pretty gender fluid bordering on trans and have always identified more with my feminine side in daily life and so when it comes to VN games or manga/anime I tend to automatically identify more with the female characters and see things from their point of view. This is why I struggle to enjoy “harem” style stories because I can almost never identify with the male lead. I just fail to feel much of a connection to male characters. So, when I play Messy Academy I feel like the proverbial square peg in a round hole because in real life I feel much more like Miki, or Juliet, or Erika, but I don’t feel like Brandon at all. He and I simply don’t get along! I recognize that for a VN to be commercially successful it has to primarily cater to the widest possible audience, which I assume are males who do identify more with Brandon’s character, so I understand the direction the design of the game has gone from that perspective. Having said that, I would feel much more emotionally connected to the characters if there was an option to play as a female character in place of Brandon. This would also come with two additional benefits in terms of game play structure that I can see. First it would provide a way to start the game without a need for the whole hacking of the school’s computer to change the student records thing which would simplify the storyline, and second I think it would also provide a way to play Erika’s route romantically even if the characters are genetically-related as it would make the whole incest problem not so off-putting.
Anyway, that’s my 2 (or maybe even 3) cents. I hope nothing I say offends; I just really wish there was a way to play the game as a girl too! Btw, Miki, and Erika are my favorite characters and I struggle to decide between them, but I like several others as well. I think you did a very nice job with character design. I’m sorry this is such a long comment! I looked for a way to send it to you somewhere else but didn’t see any obvious way of doing so. Thank you for all your hard work!

I think this is one of our most requested brought up suggestions is to look into offering a female choice for the protag in the story and I'll say we are looking into it. But it might possibly take a bit of time before we do begin handling it, as we're trying our best currently to keep our focus less split up as possible and come back later towards the end of development with additional things.
With that said though, we have been thinking about it and how to possibly tackle it. Without trying to hype it up and fail on our delivering of it, we're talking about two options possibly to run with. Option (A) would be simply offering the player the choice between Brandon or a new female character who roughly follows through events of the game fairly similarly to him. Option (B) would be instead, offering players to play through the game as Erika as the female protag and tackle things from her point of view.
We still have much to think about and figure out about said options of course, as we have to wonder if the female protag option would cover options to date the male cast only or if there's the path to date the other females. We'd have to figure how that would fit with Erika based on her character (no spoilers). When the time does come for this, we'd most likely engage with our fans/supporters across our social platforms to see what feels the best in terms of handling the dating aspect, etc.
Hopefully that leaves you feeling hopeful for the future of the project as it fleshes out more, but maybe not too over hopeful or hyped. As we don't want to over sell or over hype on something we can't deliver on, but this is one of our most requested things and so it's safe that we'll see something in regards to it. :P
Thank you for the detailed response! I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who feels similarly. And I do agree with you that the best economic and public opinion policy to follow here is to under-promise and over-deliver as opposed to the other way around. Both options A and B seem like the most logical to consider. From the perspective of a player of the game I'm always interested in seeing a new character developed but I assume option B would take less time and money.
I must confess that I like having a sister character as a route in the game. So if something like option B were implemented and I was Erika, then who would be my sister in the game then? Any Japanese-styled VN game worth the name needs to have a sister character right??
As for dating the male characters from a female perspective, its not that I'm against the idea as such, but I think that if such routes were to be created it might be best if they were treated as secondary options because at least from my perspective, forcing the female characters to interact romantically with the male characters no matter which gender the user plays the game as rather undercuts the potential of playing as a female character in the first place, and puts me kind of back in the same situation I'm in now just from the opposite viewpoint. To put it another way, if I don't like to play as a certain male character now, then I'm not going to be interested in having to date said character either. But in the end it's not my game and I don't want to seem like I'm trying to force my opinions onto anyone. I hope that perhaps by sometime next year or the year after that development will have progressed to such a point that these concepts will be in more active consideration.

The update coming out on Nov 4th does a huge improvement on the early content of the game. It's a bit crazy to say the least with just how much more better handled things come across as a first impression on new players with this update, so hopefully once it's out. Apologies for not replying sooner, I have been experimenting on my computer and have figured out how to run the game (at least for me). My method is for Mac computers running 10.15 Catalina as the OS. I’m hoping this will also work for 11.0 Big Sur as well but no promises.
Step 1: download the latest Messy Academy Update mac.zip file to your desktop. At the time of this writing that is 0.13.5. When this file is downloaded it will appear as a folder on your desktop titled Messy Academy update 0.13.5 mac.
Step 2: Download the fix command file to your desktop. This will appear as a SHELL file titled Fix_Permissions.command
Step 3: Drag and drop the Fix_Permissions.command file into the Messy Academy update 0.13.5 mac folder. It should appear in the folder as a third item along with a credits.html file document and the game program Icon titled Acadamy_Reboot.
Step 4: Open the Terminal program on your mac located in the Applications folder.
Step 5: Now you need to execute on the SHELL file. With a terminal command window open enter: chmod u+x
Step 6: Now with both the Terminal window and the Messy Academy update 0.13.5 mac folder open side by side drag and drop the Fix_Permissions.command file into the terminal window just in front of the chmod u+x text. If done correctly the path to the file should appear so in general the complete command line should read chmod u+x /path/to/Fix_Permissions.command with the /path/to/ part varying depending on your mac’s file structure.
Step 7: Hit Enter in Terminal. Terminal should then execute on the SHELL file.
Step 8: Now click on the Academy_Reboot icon in the Messy Academy update 0.13.5 mac folder. The game should open just fine now.
A note on the previous instructions. One of the major areas of confusion is that on a mac the "tyranoscript.app" name for the game container file is hidden until the game actually opens and so saying “Place "Fix_Permissions.command" file in same folder as "tyranoscript.app"” does not help on a mac because you won’t know where to put it.

Won't open on mac :(
The rar file won't open or the program won't start up? I sadly can't test mac version personally, but someone was kind enough to mention this for a fix if there's issues trying to fix the mac version.

I've tried to find the folder containing "tyranoscript.app" by double tapping on the program icon and choosing "show package contents" but its nowhere to be found. So I have no idea how to implement this patch. Simply trying to open the program gets me the error message "The application “Messy_Academy_Reboot” can’t be opened." Please help! Thank you!
Also is the program supposed to download as an rar file? For me it's downloading as an application that neither my mac (nor I) can identify.
I should start by saying I sadly have zero understanding of Mac os sadly <.< But it should be downloaded as a zip file. Then export the folder inside onto your desktop or somewhere fitting.
From there I don't think the game shows a client/app to open? Maybe it just doesn't for me with Windows os. It's worth a shot, but did you give this fix a try? (We've had other Mac users have success with this.)

Sorry, I'm not sure you understood. That troubleshooting step is exactly what I tried and it does not work for me. I downloaded the "Fix_Permissions.command" file but there is no folder with a "tyranoscript.app" in it that I can find so I have no place to put the "Fix_Permissions.command" file. I can download the "Messy_Acadamy_Reboot" file just fine and it downloads to my desktop as a folder containing a credits.html file and an unknown program icon that will not open.
