Sadly I have to inform everyone that's been patiently awaiting the release of episode 4 for the public. (v0.19) That we ran into a bit of trouble last night with our supporter release v0.19.5

I originally had planned to release both v0.19 and v0.19.5 together, of course v0.19 for public and v0.19.5 for supporters on Patreon. In case it isn't known to some, our long term programmer that's been with us since the very start, over 2 years ago stepped down as we headed into 2022. So we've brought a new programmer onto the team, caught them up on 2 years worth of project related stuff and engine details, etc. This is their first real test since being on the team with us, mainly with v0.19.5 as v0.19 content was already done before this.

Well, last night the build I received for v0.19.5 wasn't in ideal shape and I did not feel comfortable providing our supporters with what state the game is in with that build. Mainly because v0.19.5's whole focus for content is focused on displaying MA's existing content in full 1920x1080 HD quality and more of a visual update than it is with new content in the form of episodes, etc. With it being a heavily visual update for the game, it doesn't sit right with me to have supporters experience that with issues on the visuals still seen.

Mainly the biggest issue seen in my play testing was that sprites X position wasn't right, a mix of sprite visuals off centered or placed weirdly, off screen at points or overlapping each other, etc. Simply put.. Not ideal for a update that's focused on showing off what the game is going to look like in HD quality moving forward.

With that known, it didn't feel right to our supporters to release v0.19 for the public and not offer anything to our supporters in the mean time. Hence why we're delaying these releases for the time being sadly... Today and tomorrow are being spent discussing plans with the programmer about fixing the issues, seeing when we can realistically expect these to be ready.

I'm extremely sorry for this, as it wasn't expected, but I just am not comfortable with passing that quality along to our supporters as a update until it's fixed. It's not what we'd want our supporters or fans in general to expect from our game updates even during heavy development. We'll keep everyone informed within another day or two after I hear back from the programmer.
